Practice Manager

Mrs. Jo Taylor is the Practice Manager. She has an office at our London Road site and at our Heatherwood Hospital site. If you have a complaint or would like to share any good news, please put it in writing for the attention of the Practice Manager and this will be dealt with according to the Practice Protocols. Likewise, if you have any suggestions about how the Practice would benefit, please also send this in and it will be brought to the attention of the Practice’s Patient Participation Group which hold 6-8 weekly meetings.

Medical Secretary

Mrs Winifred Pereira is our Secretary based at the AMC site. She works part time from 8am to 3:30pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Reception

Mrs. Ann Higgins is the Reception Team Lead and works predominantly at the AMC site on a part time basis, Monday – Thursday, overseeing the Reception and Admin Team and working closely with the Practice Manager. The Reception team work together with a vast amount of local knowledge and experience which is offered to our patients. They provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
